The Gospel According to Matthew 



The Gospel According to Matthew is the theme and title of this Winter’s Sunday Night Study series.  The Gospel of Matthew is placed first in the New Testament, not because it was written first, but because of the importance given to this Gospel in the life of the church. Matthew’s depiction of Jesus’ teachings in the context of his death and resurrection has shone like a moral beacon on the church’s path through the centuries. The Gospel of Matthew offers instruction and encouragement for living a righteous life according to the new righteousness revealed in Christ.
